I earned the label of defiant from the catholic nuns in my 7th and 8th grade years. I was pressured to feel shame by them, but luckily, at least on the questions of our religious teachings, not by my parents. And, being a true 'child' of the 60s have continued to challenge authority( when it made no sense) and unjust actions, policies and rules.

Faye, ever since we met last year, I’ve long admired your fierce spirit. I’m sorry you had those terrible experiences — in a lot of ways, I had similar ones. I think our takes in life come from a lot of overlaps. I’m so glad we are friends. 🤍
